News from Up North: America, so many troubles (Part 2) Guns, guns guns

Sorry to have to tell you this, America, but you are a coward. I know that you won’t agree with this utterance but you know deep down inside that it’s true.

Big and strong you are, America, your national anthem tells us with nauseating regularity that you are the “… the land of the free and the home of the brave”. Again, sorry, but no you’re not.

Every prescient inhabitant of your land now knows on some visceral level that every time they step outside their home; to go to the corner store or to church or to the bowling alley, to school and so on, that their ass might be grass, so to speak. They might even have the misfortune of ringing the wrong doorbell or mistakenly park their car where they should not have.

You have a massive and monstrous problem, right out in the open, and will not take any meaningful steps to resolve it. It seems like the damage being foisted upon the people is inconsequential to the fervent need and necessity of having and holding your goddamn guns. This includes assault weapons of military grade mass destruction like AR-15’s. More often than not it is children that have become collateral damage.

Sadly, sometimes it is the kids who kill as well. Of course, it’s the grown-ups who provide the weapons.
