A view from the True North: Garbage in; garbage out

Ever since I was a kid growing up in Vancouver I would read and hear about how the U.S. was the greatest country in the world and that they were the best at everything. All you had to do was listen to the Americans tell it.

It was pretty evident from watching television that the U.S. had the world’s finest and most flawless and unspoiled legal and political systems. We would hear actors and elected officials wax on about it all the time. The world now knows that these things not true whatsoever. That the man pictured here won the presidency is living and in your face proof of that.

This same man has committed felony sexual abuse and associated defamation, paid hush money to hide sexual infidelities ahead of the 2016 election, cheated on his wives and income tax and business dealings and lies interminably. And God knows what else. None of it matters though, dear Americans, you don’t seem to give a damn. You all know his sins are legion. You’ve sold out.
